Ichitani Kameoka Hachimangu

市谷亀岡八幡宮
Ichitani Kameoka Hachimangu was built to protect the western part of Edo Castle by placing the spirit of Tsuruoka Hachimangu in the Ichiya Mikado. In contrast to Tsuruoka Hachimangu, it was named Kameoka Hachimangu. Later, when the outer moat of Edo Castle was completed, it was moved to the precincts of the Inari Shrine outside the outer moat, and became the current Ichiya Kameoka Hachimangu Shrine.
