Kabuto Shrine

兜神社
In the 11th year of the Meiji era, when the Tokyo Stock Exchange (the predecessor of the Tokyo Stock Exchange) was established here in Kabutocho, in May of the same year, the Kabuto Shrine was built as a symbol of faith and a shrine for all those involved in the exchange. The name of the god of "Kuraina's Soul Life" enshrined in the shrine hall is the name of the minister of Taisei at the time, Prince Mimi Sanjo. The company changed the land once after the enthronement, but in the second year of the Showa era (1927), the land was changed again, and the current location of about 62 tsubo (205 square meters) on the banks of Kabutobashi was taken over in June of the same year, and a reinforced concrete shrine was built. In May 1969, the old shrine hall was demolished, leaving the granite torii gate with the construction of the expressway, and in March 1971, the current reinforced concrete, Ichima shrine style, and shrine hall with facing worship were built. The roof was made of copper plate roof, and the tamagaki, approach, paving stones, etc. were made of granite.
