Lingtenso Shrine
嶺天祖神社In the Kanbun year (1661~1673), several residents of Mine Village enshrined and built a shrine to the sacred spirit that was given to them when they visited Ise Jingu Shrine (Ise City, Mie Prefecture).
In the early Showa era, Higashi Chofu Daiichi Elementary School inherited old materials from when it rebuilt a part of the wooden school building and built the Minemachi Public Hall in the precincts, and the company office and the Minemachi Association office were used in it. During the war, the Minemachi Branch Office of the Omori Ward Office (now the Ota Ward Office) was established in this public hall, and the office was held here until the second government building was newly built.
In Showa 47, with the construction of the Metropolitan Road Ring Road No. 8, the precincts were reduced to less than half, but in the following Showa 48, the main shrine, torii gate, and shrine office were built, and the approach and tamagaki and precinct maintenance were completed, and it has continued to the present. The shrine does not have a clan area and is maintained by worshippers.
