


Omiya Hachimangu
大宮八幡宮In the 70th Emperor Goreizumi's Tenki year (1053~57), a rebellion (9th year BCE) broke out in Oshu, and the Chinshufu generals Minamoto Yoriyoshi and Yoshiie (father and son), who had received the royal order to conquer the palace, approached this place, and when the white clouds of Hachijo were shelved in the sky, it seemed that the white flag of Hachiman Okami, the clan god of the Genji clan, had fluttered, and on the way back after the suppression of the military rebellion by Prince Yoriyoshi and Prince Yoshiie, in the 6th year of Kōhei (1063), Since the solicitation of the spirits of Ishishimizu Hachimangu Shrine in Kyoto, the 25th year of Heisei (2013) marks the 950th anniversary of the Imperial Throne.
The land of Omiya has been revered as a sanctuary since ancient times, and from the vast sanctuary, it is called "Tama Omiya" or "Musashi Kuni Hachiman Ichinomiya", and is carefully protected and worshipped as a shrine for the gods.
