Saitokuji Temple

It is said that Saitokuji Temple was founded in Kinsuke-cho (near Hongo) in the 5th year of Kanei (1628) by moving the ruins of the temple in Gojobomon, Kyoto as a branch office of Honzan Fokoji Temple, and Zennyo was appointed as the first abbot in the 3rd year of Jodo Shinshu (1654), served as the head of the Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Buddhist Buddhist sect, and moved to Ryusen in the 3rd year of Tenwa (1683). It is said that after the Meiji era, it came to be called the Fokoji Gate Ruin Temple.
