Shinjo-in

心城院
Shinjo-in was originally a temple for managing Yushima Tenjin, and was called Tendai Sokimi-in "Hoju Benzai Tendo". In the 7th year of Genroku (1694) in the Edo period, the third generation of Kimi-in, the high priest of Yokai, worshipped the "Benzaiten-sama" of Joy Heaven (Seiten-sama), who was closely related to Sugawara Michishinko. In the Meiji era, the temple was abandoned due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhist temples. "Benzaitendo" was also affected by it, but it only severed its relationship with Yushima Tenjin, and miraculously escaped the hardship of the abolition of Buddhism. It started out as a single temple, belonged to the Tendai sect, and changed the name of the temple to "Shinjoin".
