Shokokuji Temple
勝国寺In the 23rd year of Tenmon (1554), it was founded by Kira Masatada, the lord of Setagaya Castle, under the name of Marukayama Yakushi-in as a protection against the demon gate behind the castle. After the fall of the Kira family, successive Tokugawa shoguns gave him a red seal. There were six temples: Enko-in, Enjo-in, Tamon-ji, Senryu-ji, Zensei-ji, and Mizo-in. In Showa 20, it was burned down by an air raid. The current building was rebuilt after the war.
