In the 2nd year of the Meiji era, a large fire broke out in the area that is now Akihabara Station, and in the following 3 years, the Tokyo Prefecture at that time built a shrine dedicated to the three gods of extinguished fire.
Since then, it has been widely believed as a prayer place for fire protection throughout Tokyo, and has been known by the name of "Akiba-sama", so this place is called "Akibabara" or "Akiba-no-hara", which is also the origin of the current "Akihabara".
In the 21st year of the Meiji era, the shrine was relocated to its current location due to the opening of the railway and the establishment of a station, but since then it has been worshipped as a shrine for the removal of fire and evil.
