Asahi Inari Shrine
朝日稲荷神社The Asahi Inari Shrine has been enshrined in this area since ancient times, and has been deeply worshipped as a guardian deity, and has been revered from near and far. However, since the shrine collapsed due to the great earthquake of Ansei and was submerged in the Sanjuma moat, the shrine site has fallen into disrepair and has been scattered around the area of vagrants.
In the 6th year of the Taisho era, a spirit body appeared from the Sanjuma moat due to the Great Sea that struck Ginza, and the building industry Okatsu was enshrined in this area, but the Great Kanto Earthquake forced it to change places, and the shrine became a place dedicated to the Ginza 3-chome Town Association. All the worshippers in the town revered the majesty of the god and tried to worship him as the guardian deity of the town, but at that time the shrine land was incorporated into the land owned by the city of Tokyo and was under the management of the city of Tokyo. The Sanchome reverer visited the assistant mayor of Tokyo at the time and begged for the annexation of the company land, but it was not granted. However, with the acquiescence of permission to use the land, a shrine was erected and the company land was prepared. The first day of the festival was celebrated with great fanfree, and the fair day attracted a large number of people, comparable to that of the 4-chome Career Jizoson. As the guardian deity of the town, he came to manifest his vast divine virtues, but due to war damage, the entire shrine was reduced to Karasu.
After the war, the shrine was rebuilt and became the Asahi Inari Shrine, a religious corporation in Showa 27. Since then, it has been deeply dedicated by the Sanchome Neighborhood Association, and its divine majesty is even more vast, and it has a protective effect on all believers.
In Showa 58, with the renovation of the Ohiro Building on the adjacent land, a communal building was constructed. The first and second floors of a part of the building were used as atrium worship halls, and the main shrine was enshrined on the roof, but it is connected to the earth by pipes, so that worship in the worship hall can reach the main shrine. It became a shrine suitable for the land of Ginza, which was ahead of its time.
A grand festival is held at noon every year, and during the Great Ginza Festival, it is revered by many people not only in Ginza 3-chome but also as a ticket office for visiting the Ginza Hatcho Shrine.
As the god of commerce, not only does it prosper in business, but since it has been enshrined in this area, there has been no fire, and its divine majesty knows no bounds even in marriage and family harmony.
