Hie Shrine

日枝神社
Hie Shrine is a shrine located in Nagatacho 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. One of the three major festivals in Edo, the Sanno Festival, is held. The former company name was Jun Imperial Shrine (Tokyo Jusha) and Government Money Taisha. The main deity is Ōyama Kōkami, and the shrine enshrines Kuni no Toko, Izanami, and Ashinaka Hikono. He is also known as the Mountain King. The location is precisely Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, and the shrine faces east, and the Omotesando extends eastward toward the Diet Building, but it is adjacent to the northeast of the Akasaka district of Minato Ward, and there are also two large torii gates and a back approach to the southwest (along Sotobori Street) (Sanno Bridge with an escalator in the south), and the Akasaka Hikawa Shrine is located nearby, so it is often called Akasaka Hie Shrine.
