Komagome Myogi Shrine

駒込妙義神社
Our shrine deities are the High Goddess of Birth, the Samurai Son of Japan, the Empress of Jinko, and the Emperor Ojin. According to the description in the "Shin-hen Musashi Fudoki Manuscript" established in the 11th year of Bunsei (1828), Japan Takeson set up camp in this area during the Eastern Expedition, and later built a shrine in May of the second year of Shirahi (651) and named it Shiratorisha. According to this, it is the oldest shrine in the ward. In May of the third year of civilization (1471), before the battle with the Ashikaga Shigeru clan, Ota Michikan visited the company and prayed for victory in the battle by offering a divine horse and a treasure sword. At that time, he sang a series of songs, "The sound of the wind in the clouds," and it is said that he defeated the Naru clan in this battle. Subsequently, it is said that Michikan visited the company to pray for victory during the battle against Teshima Kankan Yuzaemon in the 9th year of civilization, and also during the capture of Chiba Takago in the 11th year of the same year. For this reason, it was also called the "Temple of Victory" and was worshipped. On the other hand, the Sengoku period was also an eventful period for our company, as the company was repaired by Toyama Tanba Mamoru of Edo Castle in the Ōei year (1521~27) and by the guardian Tominaga Shinshiro in the 12th year of Eiroku (1569), but it declined after Matsuda Owari Moriyasuhide confiscated the company land in the Tensho year (1573~91). In the precincts, there is a Koshin pagoda built by a farmer in Komagome Village in November of the 19th year of Kanei (1642), and it is presumed that it was a base of worship in the area.
