Pinghe Tenmangu
平河天満宮It was founded in 1478 as the guardian deity of Edo by the lord of Edo Hirakawa Castle, Ota Michina, on the Kitasaka Umebayashi Sakagami in the castle. (According to the inexhaustible plum blossoms)
In the twelfth year of Keicho (1607), according to the second shogun Hidetada, it was dedicated to Kaizuka (the current location) and the place was named Hirakawa Town after Hirakawa Tenmangu Shrine.
It became a place of prayer for the Tokugawa shogunate, Kishu, Owari, the Tokugawa family, the Ii family, etc., and the priest received the prestigious treatment of being able to have an audience with the shogun at the New Year's celebration.
In addition, the anecdotes of the famous blind scholar Kiichi Hanabo and the Dutch scholar Takano Nagahide, who have been deeply believed in since ancient times, have been passed down to this day.
