Puxian Temple

普賢寺
The temple was founded in the first year of civilization (1469) by Ryōen monk Tadashi on the banks of the Sumida River in Edo Honsho and the stable bridge. At that time, it belonged to Sensoji Temple, and it was a separate temple of the 6th Heaven of Honjo Nakanogo, and in the precincts there was a monument to the Confucian scholar Kaiho Fishing Village, who studied under the Kabuki master's Jizoson and Shibusawa Eiichi. It was destroyed by the Great Ansei Earthquake (1855), but was rebuilt a few years later. However, it was destroyed by fire again in the Great Kanto Earthquake of Taisho 12 (1923). Due to the unimaginable fire, the main temple and part of the past book were taken out and jumped into the river, and the temple history was burned down at that time, so the details are not certain. In the 13th year of the Taisho era, during the reign of the 40th generation Tsuneaki of Toyama, it was moved to Tama Village (current location) in Kitatama County at that time by urban planning, and it has been connected to the present day. In Showa 35, the long-awaited main hall was rebuilt. After that, in the first year of the Heisei era, in the 41st Tsunesho era, the roof tiles of the main hall, which had become severely leaking, were renovated with copper plate roofing, in Heisei 2, the approach road and fence were renovated, and in Heisei 7, the storehouse, which had been severely deteriorated after 70 years of construction, was also inaugurated as a guest hall warehouse with the cooperation of the Dan believers.
