Sanpuji Temple

In the first year of Onaga (1394), the Daitokugon-daiji temple of Kamakura Dairakuji was founded in the vicinity of this area. In the ninth year of civilization (1477), it was moved to this area by Ota Michikan. Since ancient times, it has been a place of prayer for the imperial court, and the temple luck was prosperous due to the strong faith of the neighboring wealthy Teshima clan and the Hojo family of Odawara. When Tokugawa Iemitsu came close to the area for hunting, he often stopped by as a resting place, so the mountain gate is called "Onarimon". As one of the 11 Danrins of the Kanto region of the Shingon sect, it had more than 60 temples.
