Tsukido Shrine
築土神社According to the legend, the Chikudo Shrine began in the third year of Tenkei (940) when the spirit of Taira Shomon was enshrined in Kamihira River in Toshima District, Musashi Province and called Tsukudo Myojin, and then moved to Tayasu near Iida Town and called it Tayasu Myojin. In the second year of Genwa (1616), it was relocated to Mt. Chikudo outside Ushigome Gate (now 2 Chikudo Hachiman-cho, Shinjuku-ku) and became Chikudo Myojin, and was renamed Chikudo Shrine in Meiji 7 on the way, but since then it has continued to be enshrined in Ushigome until the early Showa period. However, the shrine was destroyed by fire in an air raid in Showa 20, and in 29, it was relocated to its current location near the precincts of the Setsugu Inari Shrine in Kudan Nakasaka, that is, near the former site of Tayasu Myojin.
