Yasukuni Shrine

Yasukuni Shrine (Yasukuni Shrine) is a shrine located in Kudankita, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Originating from the Soul Shrine, it enshrines more than 2,466,000 spirits of those who were martyred for the nation after 1853 (Kaei 6). Yasukuni Shrine calls the spirits "Mitama" and "Mitama." It was founded in 1869 (Meiji 2) by royal decree as Tokyo Soul Shrine (Tokyo Soul Shrine, old style: Tokyo Soul Shrine), and was renamed to its current name in 1879 (Meiji 12). Former Bekkei Government Currency Company. It has been under the jurisdiction of the Army and Navy since 1887 (Meiji 20). After World War II, it left state control and became a religious corporation.
