Zenkokuji Temple

善國寺
It was founded in the 4th year of Bunroku (1595) in Kojimachi 6-chome. It was destroyed by fire in the 10th year of Kanbun (1670), but was rebuilt four years later with the help of Tokugawa Mitsukuni. In the 12th year of Kyoho (1727), it was also caught in fire. Due to a fire in the 4th year of Kansei (1792), the temple area was called as a fire removal site, and the following year it was moved to its current location. It is said that Bishamonten was the guardian honzon of Kato Kiyomasa, or that he emerged from the soil.
