Zojoji Temple Tower, Mt. Sanen, Hojuin Temple

The Jewel Temple of the Jodo Buddhist Temple is named Sanenzan. The temple was founded in 1685 as a temple by the 30th head priest of Zojoji Temple, Seikan Yasugen, together with King Enma the Great, at the request of the Heavenly Maidens of the White Lotus Pond. Benzaiten, which is one of the seven lucky gods of Minato Ward, was carved on Takebu Island in 858 by Chisho Daishi (Enchin), who opened Mitsui-dera Temple, and was revered by Prince Minamoto Yoritomo and Prince Tokugawa Ieyasu.
